    Nightfall in Middle-Earth

Into the Storm und Curse of Feanor sind doch "härtere" Lieder. Nightfall recht dramatisch und einen schönen orchestralen Refrain, Blood Tears und The Eldar recht traurig, Mirror Mirror klingt wieder fröhlicher, usw. Aber das IMHO beste Lied ist noch "Time stands still", das is einfach nur genial. Die Bridge (Lord of all Noldor bis farewell to the valiant warlord) macht regelrecht Gänseheut.

            The Elvenking's broken
            He stumbles and falls
The most proud and most valiant
            His spirit survives
            Praise our king
            Praise our king
            Praise our king
            Praise our king

              I stand alone
              Noone´s by my side
              I´ll dare you
              Come out
              You coward
              Now it´s me or you

              He gleams like a star
And the sound of his horn´s
              like a raging storm
              Proudly the high lord
              Challenges doom
              Lord of slaves he cries
Gerade die Gitarre vom Intro macht schon was her.

                          Ramble On

                          Leaves are falling all around,
It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged
                          For such a pleasant stay.

And now it's time for me to go,
The autumn moon lights my way.
But now I smell the rain,
                          And with it pain,
                          And it's headed my way.
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired,
But I know one thing I got to do,

                          Ramble on,
And now's the time, the time is now
                          To sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl,
                          On my way,
Been this way ten years to the day,
                          Ramble on,
Find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time for spreading roots,
The time has come to be gone.
And though our health we drank a thousand times,
                          It's time to Ramble on.

                          Ramble on,
And now's the time, the time is now
                          To sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl,
                          On my way,
Been this way ten years to the day,
                          Ramble on,
Find the queen of all my dreams.

                          Mine's a tale that can't be told,
                          My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
                          When magic filled the air,
T'was in the darkest depth of Mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But Gollum, the evil one crept up
                          And slipped away with her.
                          Her, her....yea.
Ain't nothing I can do, no.

                          Ramble on

                          The Battle of Evermore

Queen of Light took her bow
And then she turned to go,
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom
                          And walked the night alone.

Oh, dance in the dark of night,
                          Sing to the morn-ing light.
The dark Lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all.

Oh, throw down your plow and hoe,
Rest not to lock your homes.
Side by side we wait the might
Of the darkest of them all.

                          I hear the horses' thunder
                          Down in the valley below,
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon,
                          Waiting for the eastern glow.

The apples of the valley hold
                          The seeds of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care,
Repay, do not forget, no, no.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
                          Sing to the morning light.

The apples turn to brown and black,
                          The tyrant's face is red.

Oh the war is common cry,
Pick up you swords and fly.
The sky is filled with good and bad
                          That mortals never know.

Oh, well, the night is long
The beads of time pass slow,
                          Tired eyes on the sunrise,
                          Waiting for the eastern glow.

The pain of war cannot exceed
                          The woe of aftermath,
The drums will shake the castle wall,
                          The ringwraiths ride in black,
                          Ride on.

Sing as you raise your bow,
                          Shoot straighter than before.
No comfort has the fire at night
That lights the face so cold.

Oh dance in the dark of night,
                          Sing to the mornin' light.
The magic runes are writ in gold
                          To bring the balance back.
                          Bring it back.

At last the sun is shining,
The clouds of blue roll by,
With flames from the dragon of darkness
                          The sunlight blinds his eyes.
