Hätte mir ja denken können, dass dieser Thread hier keine gute Idee ist. Alles wird immer sofort niedergemacht.
Natürlich ist die Idee nicht neu. Kommt immer darauf an was man daraus macht

Und NBC braucht dringend eine neue erfolgreiche Serie nachdem viele der letzten neuen Projekte gescheitert sind und mit The West Wing einer der größten kritischen Erfolge des Senders ausgelaufen ist

was sind denn bitteschön Upfronts?

Das ist die Zeit in der die Sender ihr Programm für die nächste TV Season vorstellen. Das betrifft dann Entscheidungen welche Serien verlängert werden und nicht, welche neuen Sendungen es gibt, und wann diese laufen.
Soll auch Werbekunden anlocken Geld zu investieren

A young dreamer (Ventimiglia) tries to convince his politician brother (Pasdar) that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Panettiere) learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Larter), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Gray-Cabey), uncovers that her mirror image has a secret. A prison inmate (Roberts) mysteriously finds himself waking up outside of his cell. A gifted artist (Cabrera), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and the relationship with his girlfriend (Cypress), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck beat cop (Grunberg) can hear people's thoughts, including the secrets of a captured terrorist. In Japan, a young man (Oka) develops a way to stop time through sheer will power.

Sieht interessant aus. Die Prämisse hört sich zwar nach stark The 4400 an, aber wenn man sich den Trailer ansieht, merkt man, dass Heroes völlig anders herüberkommt.
NBC hat viel Geld hineingesteckt, was man auch sofort sieht

Neben Jericho die einzige Serie der 2006 Upfronts, die wirklich mein Interesse geweckt hat
