Spielberg and Ford talked about 'Indy 4'

Harrison Ford finally received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (I wonder what took them soo long.) yesterday in front of the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Steven Spielberg was also at the event and even got the croud excited when he told them that the fourth Indiana Jones adventure begins next year!
Here's what The Associated Press wrote:

Spielberg promised the cheering crowd: "We're about to launch production next year on `Indiana Jones Four.'" After the ceremony, however, Ford was more circumspect about his involvement in the sequel.
"I don't know anything about it except that Steven's very enthusiastic," he said. "He's got a period of time to work on the script before I see it. So I should see it in a couple of weeks."
Does that mean a new film about the whip-cracking archaeologist is a definite go? "I can't say that until I read it," Ford said. "But it feels like a go to me."

Gibt es irgend etwas neues zum Film? Stimmt, es dass die Dreharbeiten 2004 beginnen?
Naja, ich freue mich schon riesig, ich kann die Indy Filme immer wieder anschauen, un war richtig traurig, am Ende vom letzten Kreuzzug. Naja, ich hoffe, dass der neue Film nicht an Qualität verlieren wird.
Ich habe gelesen, dass Harrison Ford ist nun mit dem Script einverstanden, stimmt das?

P.S.: Wenn das was Spielberg sagt stimmt, gibt es nichts zu befürchten. *zu meiner sig schiel*

Ich sag nur absoluter Kult, früher hab ich die Filme mit meinem Dad gesehen und wenn sie heut im Fernsehen wiederholt werden nehme ich sie auf und sehe sie öfter mal auf Video, Indi ist einfach ein Kindheits Idol von mir

sodala ich weiß nicht inwieweit diese News schon bekannt sind, aber ic werds trotzdem mal hier loswerden:

Indy 4 spielt n ern 50ern, damit Harrison Fords Alter Indy angepasst wird.

Defintiv dabei ist Sean Connery als Indys Vater und Karen Allen (bekannt aus Raiders of the lost ark) in einer kleinen Rolle als bekannte Marion.

Here we have that "Spielberg to start shooting Indy 4 this summer" rumor again, or maybe it wasn't a rumor after all:
Variety reported today that Steven Spielberg might shoot Indiana Jones 4 as early as this summer for a summer 2004 release.
Frank Darabont is currently penning the script and Spielberg is still awaiting a final draft. Indy 4 has been in development for some time, with all of the franchise's major players said to be satisfied with the direction of the film so far. Harrison Ford, who will next appear in Revolution Studios' action comedy Hollywood Homicide this summer opposite Josh Hartnett, appears to have his schedule free for Indy 4, should it shoot earlier than planned.
Paramount currently has the film scheduled for summer 2005, but the studio wouldn't hesitate for the chance to get the tentpole earlier than planned. Discussions have already been had to move up the picture's production by a year, with Indiana Jones 4 possibly going before the cameras this summer, making the picture available for 2004.
It's known that Spielberg makes 3 films back to back then takes a directing break for 1 year and then makes 3 new films back to back. We won't see any Spielberg films in 2003 because of this break but if this Indy 4 news turns out to be true, we may expect two Spielberg films in 2004, Indiana Jones 4 for summer 2004 and Terminal for winter 2004, and yet another project for summer 2005.

Also ich persönlich wäre ja für nen schnellstmöglichen Drehbegin. Wird eh bereits recht lächerlich, da Ford ja nicht gerade jünger wird! Mal gucken wann die Hollywoodwelt sich denn nun endlich einigen wird...

Lucas hopes to shoot 'Indy 4' this year

Rumors abound about the possible shooting dates for Indiana Jones 4; however, no official word on when it will happen has been said, until now. Roger Friedman from FOXNews.com reported the following today:

George Lucas told me that he wrote the story for Indiana Jones 4 last summer and expects to shoot it sometime this year with Steven Spielberg.

Does this mean the previously rumored 2004 shoot date has been changed to this year (2003)? Stay tuned for the most recent updates.

HARRISON SCHULD AN "INDIANA JONES IV"!

Steven Spielberg hat nun in einem Interview gemeint, dass ausgerechnet Harry Harrison ihn dazu gebracht haette, einen weiteren "Indy"-Film zu produzieren! Er habe ihm gesagt, dass er einen weiteren Film dieser Serie machen wolle. Dieses, obwohl Harrison in Interviews stets betont hatte, er wolle eigentlich nur mitmachen, wenn das Drehbuch in Ordnung sei.
Der Film soll dem Interview mit der "Chicago Sun-Times" zufolge in den USA am 04.07.05 in die Kinos kommen. Dort bestaetigte er auch, dass Sean Connery im Film fuer einige Szenen dabei sein werde als Vater, man wolle auch unbedingt einige der weiblichen Stars der ersten drei Teile fuer die Fortsetzung gewinnen, hier sei aber noch nichts sicher.

[Bemerkung: Richtig dürfte es wohl heißen: Harrison Ford, nicht Harry Harrison... ]

"INDY IV": START IN 2004!

Steven Spielberg hat nun bestaetigt, dass das Drehbuch zu "Indiana Jones IV" fertig ist und er die Regie bei dem Film uebernehmen werde. Spielberg hat ausserdem bestaetigt, dass Harrison Ford ihm mitgeteilt habe, dass er dabei sei, wenn das Drehbuch ihm gefalle.

Ehhhm, die planen jetzt schon 3 Jahre Produktionszeit ein? Wo ohnehin schon seit 10 jahren an diversesten Konzepten und mindestens seit 2 Jahren an konkreten Plänen zu diesem 4ten Teil gearbeitet wurde? McCallum talks 'Indy 4' release date

The latest issue of Star Wars Insider features an interview with Lucasfilm producer Rick MacCallum about Indy 4 and it's status. McCallum confirms that the film will be released in 2005, and that it's production won't interfere with Star Wars: Episode III at all. Here's the interview:

Fans have been abuzz with rumors about the start date of the fourth Indiana Jones movie. When Harrison Ford mentioned a few months ago that filming could start as early as next summer, we asked McCallum.

We could use more problems like that one.

“That’s what the plan is. Hopefully, the film will be completed by 2005.” He noted that the plan is dependent on getting a screenplay that everyone likes.

Fans who worry that second Lucasfilm production might distract from Episode III have nothing to fear. “Steven Spielberg is directing and Frank [Marshall] is producing, so even though George will have written the story for it - the screen play is being written by Frank Darabont now - we’ll be making Star Wars, so we’re locked away, basically, and they’ll go ahead and make Indy.”

Considering the prospect of both an Indiana Jones and Star Wars movie coming out in 2005, McCallum remarked, “I think it would be a wonderful summer for Lucasfilm. They’d be separated by enough time that they won’t compete directly with other.”
